There are 22 different Arab Nations throughout the Middle East
and North Africa. These include nations include:
Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Tunisia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates,
Iraq, Yemen amongst others.
RELIGIONS OF THE ARAB WORLD
There is a wide range of religious practices in the Arab countries
which include:
Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc.
ARAB CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WORLD
- Language: Samarian which originated in the region is one
of the first written languages in history.
- Mathematics: Algebra and Arabic Numerals originated in
the Arab World
- Civilizations/Cities: Arabs founded Mesopotamia and Egypt
which are the first civilizations on earth.
- Architecture: Islamic architecture is one of the oldest
and most world renown architectures in the world.
- Philosophy: Arab countries are known for preserving ancient
Greek writings for the preservation of knowledge.
- Social Science: Ibn Khaldone is one of the founders of
social science.
- Astronomy: Some of the first astronomers were Arabs.
- Medicine/Healing: Ibn Seena is an example of one of the
earliest practitioners of medicine.
ARAB CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNITED STATES
Arabs who have immigrated to the United States have worked
hard to attain a better life for their families. They have
often times left their own countries due to economic hardship,
poor educational standards, civil war, expulsion from their
native lands and persecution. These motivating factors have
allowed for Arabs to become an important force here in the
United States.
ECONOMIC CONTRIBUTIONS
Arabs are employed in a variety of jobs which range
from professionals (engineers, doctors, lawyers) to entrepreneurs,
business men, gas station attendants etc.
ARABS IN US POLITICS
Arabs have also begun to take part in the political
