Over the past year the Republican Arab American Congress has worked hard on Behalf of the Arab American Community.  Here is an example of some of the activities we have been involved with:

New 7/15/07
Johnny Khamis recently met with high ranking members of the US Army.

Met with Candidates and elected officials:

  1. Republican Central committee (San Jose) Peter Soule

Lobbying Efforts:

  1. Met with Zoe Lofgren twice this year
  2. Participated on Conference calls with the US State Department (With AAIUSA.org)
  3. Have written numerous letters and phone calls to thank Senate member Lincoln Chafee (R-RI), chairman of the Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs subcommittee
  4. We have written letters and Phone calls to thank Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) for his strong stands on Middle East peace.
  5. We are attempting to meet with Congressional Representative Honda, Eshoo, and Pombo.

Fundraising:

  1. We have helped organize a fundraiser for San Jose Mayoral candidate Chuck Reed
  2. We have helped organize a fundraiser for Santa Clara County District Attorney candidate Delores Caar
  3. We are attempting to hold a fundraiser for Senate member Lincoln Chafee (R-RI), chairman of the Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs subcommittee

Various Representation:

  1. We represent the interest of our community at various Republican events such as the By annual Statewide conventions
  2. CCR Conventions Where we hold the Sate Wide Vice Presidency and a local VP position
  3. Local republican Grass roots organization’s events, SPARK, ARW, Lead 21

We have worked hard to understand and advise on local and statewide propositions.
